Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixer in Carlisle County, Kentucky. Day to day you will fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing. Ideal candidate: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
