Foundry labourer • Ibeno, Akwa Ibom State

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Ibeno, Akwa Ibom State. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Your main tasks: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Meals and transport allowance provided.
