The role involves present documents at weighbridges and check posts; secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars; operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading; complete delivery notes, CMR paperwork and proof-of-delivery; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; report defects and book the unit in for servicing.
