Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Columbia County, Wisconsin. Your main tasks: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
