Brick and block layer wanted in Decatur County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Decatur County, Kansas. You will work at a residential building site. Requirements: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) You will building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
