Site safety steward — Humboldt County

Join our team: we are hiring a site safety steward in Humboldt County, California. The job is at a busy construction site. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot On the job you will handle: • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates 4+ years on the tools preferred.
