You should have: • Basic numeracy for handling cash, bills and change • Smart, well-groomed appearance and a clean uniform Your main tasks: • Explain the day's specials and recommend dishes • Punch orders through to the kitchen as a KOT (kitchen order ticket) • Carry loaded trays and serve plated dishes to the right table • Follow food hygiene and allergen-handling rules • Coordinate order timing with the kitchen and the bar • Pour water, wine and soft drinks and serve from the guest's left Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
