Urgent requirement: fettler (Virginia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in City of Poquoson, Virginia. On a typical shift you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
