Join our team: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Union County, Iowa. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling On the job you will handle: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts Full-time with occasional weekends.
