Great opportunity: we are hiring a pressman in Catoosa County, Georgia. You will work in a busy laundry. On a typical shift you will spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press. Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings 4+ years on the tools preferred.
