Now hiring: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a busy earthworks site. On a typical shift you will grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms; follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin. Requirements: • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
