You should have: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear The role involves set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle.
