Furniture maker — East Lothian

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furniture maker in East Lothian, Scotland. You will work in a cabinet-making workshop. Requirements: • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Own basic hand tools Day to day you will check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together. 2+ years on the tools preferred. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
