Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Blackburn with Darwen, England. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Day-to-day duties: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Pay around £2,000 per month, based on your experience.
