Gtaw welder wanted in Keweenaw County

Join our team: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Keweenaw County, Michigan. Your main tasks: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium 6+ years on the tools preferred. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
