We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Ocean County, New Jersey. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
