Garden maintenance worker — Hood River County

Now hiring: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in Hood River County, Oregon. The job is at a private estate garden. What we are looking for: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Valid driving licence for travel between sites Your main tasks: • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around $5,500 per month, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
