The role involves: • MIG-weld and spot-weld new panels into place • Treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection • Replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers • Buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections • Shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains Requirements: • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding • Skilled in MIG welding and panel replacement 4+ years on the tools preferred.
