Site dozer operator — City of Danville

Now hiring: we are hiring a site dozer operator in City of Danville, Virginia. The role involves strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant • Willing to work on remote sites and rotating rosters 4+ years on the tools preferred.
