Day to day you will hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square. You should have: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts.
