Vacancy available: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Prince George County, Virginia. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Day to day you will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; grind back and re-weld any defective runs. What we are looking for: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings We offer $2,800 per month plus benefits.
