Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Grundy County, Illinois. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Requirements: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance On a typical shift you will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $170 per day, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
