You should have: • Good eyesight and methodical fault-finding • Confident using diagnostic scan tools The role involves: • Diagnose engine faults using an OBD-II scan tool • Replace exhaust systems and catalytic converters • Replace clutch plates and gearbox components • Road-test vehicles to confirm the repair 5+ years on the tools preferred.
