Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Arlington County, Virginia. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE Part-time with flexible hours.
