Sample machinist — Claiborne County

Now hiring: we are hiring a sample machinist in Claiborne County, Tennessee. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. You will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
