Trainee butcher • Cheshire West and Chester, England

Now hiring: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Cheshire West and Chester, England. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Requirements: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler On a typical shift you will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain. 3+ years on the tools preferred. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
