Urgent requirement: gas pipeline fitter (Michigan)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas pipeline fitter in Antrim County, Michigan. You will be based at a heating and plumbing contractor. Your main tasks: • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points You should have: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $4,000 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
