You should have: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket The role involves: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
