Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Hardeman County, Tennessee. You will be based at a high-rise construction project. The role involves tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
