Fabricator-welder wanted in Carroll County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Carroll County, Illinois. You will work on an industrial construction site. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Day-to-day duties: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
