Great opportunity: we are hiring a gardener in Okaloosa County, Florida. On a typical shift you will weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste. Ideal candidate: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
