Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Madison County, Nebraska. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through The role involves: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Overtime paid at a premium rate.
