HSE officer — Hardin County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a HSE officer in Hardin County, Iowa. The job is in a chemical processing unit. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements The role involves: • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action Pay around $2,900 per month, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
