Gang bricklayer wanted in Montgomery County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Montgomery County, Virginia. You will work at a renovation and extension job. Your main tasks: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser Requirements: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
