Join our team: sand plant operator (Sokoto State)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Wurno, Sokoto State. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding On the job you will handle: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Performance bonus on top of base pay.
