Vacancy available: we are hiring an automotive paint technician in Jackson County, Illinois. You will work in a spray booth. Day to day you will apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun; mix and tint paint to match the customer's colour code; wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying; mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper; apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels; blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair. Ideal candidate: • Able to read and match factory paint codes • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns • Able to mix paint by weight on a scale 4+ years on the tools preferred.
