Garden maintenance worker • Watauga County, North Carolina

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in Watauga County, North Carolina. The role involves dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines. What we are looking for: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
