Now hiring: we are hiring a lorry driver in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. You will be based in a refrigerated transport fleet. Ideal candidate: • Valid digital tachograph card • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel Day-to-day duties: • Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading • Present documents at weighbridges and check posts • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels £2,150 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
