Conventional mill operator wanted in Red Lake County

Now hiring: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Red Lake County, Minnesota. You will be based in a die and mould making unit. You should have: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T On the job you will handle: • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
