Single needle operator • Osceola County, Michigan

Great opportunity: we are hiring a single needle operator in Osceola County, Michigan. Day to day you will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. Ideal candidate: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Part-time with flexible hours.
