Hand presser — City of Alexandria

Great opportunity: we are hiring a hand presser in City of Alexandria, Virginia. Day to day you will check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; give each garment a final press before packing. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $15 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
