Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage The role involves bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints.
