Now hiring: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Ibeno, Akwa Ibom State. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard The role involves: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Rotating shifts.
