TIG welder wanted in City of Buena Vista

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a TIG welder in City of Buena Vista, Virginia. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day-to-day duties: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $26 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
