Now hiring: we are hiring a presser in Newton County, Arkansas. You will work at a garment factory. Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Day to day you will give each garment a final press before packing; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments. 6+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
