Requirements: • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges On a typical shift you will insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it; fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails; glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square; take site measurements of openings before fabrication; drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame; cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees.
