We are recruiting: we are hiring a rigger in City of Edinburgh, Scotland. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Your main tasks: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight £3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
