Cement mason • Platte County, Nebraska

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a cement mason in Platte County, Nebraska. The job is at an infrastructure site. You should have: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Day-to-day duties: • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
