You will drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame; insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it; crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame; glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square. You should have: • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
