Now hiring: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Monroe County, Wisconsin. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. You should have: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test Your main tasks: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
